Bon Iver

The free CD in the the most recent issue of Paste (issue #46) has the song "Flume" by Bon Iver. From Wisconsin. See my below post on stuff from Minnesota; the same applies to Wisconsin. Anyway, check it out. Sounds like Phosphorescent, but that is a good thing. Imitation is the highest form of flattery.

Arcade Fire

I've been listening to them for a couple of years but had never seen them perform live. I had heard that their live performance was remarkable. Last night was a dull Friday night and I was flipping through the channels when I ran across Arcade Fire performing on Austin City Limits. Wow. They are showing an encore of their performance on PBS sometime in September '08. Check it out, or go see them in person. By the way, watching Austin City Limits should be a weekly event on our calendars.
